Terms of Service for the E-Commerce Service

1. Scope of the Terms
These terms supplement Nida Verkkopalvelu's general terms for services where the customer has ordered a paid e-commerce service.
The e-commerce service may be based on systems such as WooCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop, Shopify, OpenCart, WordPress, or other separately agreed systems, including custom PHP-based e-commerce solutions.

2. Service Implementation
The e-commerce service is implemented according to a schedule and scope separately agreed with the customer.
Delivery time depends on project content, integrations, and the availability of materials provided by the customer (product images, texts, price lists, payment methods).
Nida Verkkopalvelu is not responsible for delays caused by the customer or third parties (e.g., payment providers and logistics services).

3. Copyrights of the E-Commerce System
Copyrights of the e-commerce system, its plugins, themes, technical solutions, and code belong to Nida Verkkopalvelu or third parties under license agreements, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The customer is granted a license to use the e-commerce system on the agreed server and scope.
The customer is not allowed to:
- copy or resell the system or its parts
- transfer the e-commerce system to a third-party server without a separate agreement
- use the system contrary to the license terms

4. Customer-Stored Content and Products
Copyrights of products, images, texts, prices, and other content stored by the customer in the e-commerce system do not transfer to Nida Verkkopalvelu.
The customer grants Nida Verkkopalvelu the right to use the content for implementing, maintaining, and supporting the technical development of the e-commerce service.
The customer is responsible for:
- the legality of the products
- the accuracy of prices, taxes, and delivery terms
- copyrights and trademarks
In cases of copyright or legal violations, the customer is responsible for all claims and costs related to the content they have stored.

5. Payment Methods and Transactions
Third-party payment services (e.g., Paytrail, Vismapay, Klarna, Stripe, PayPal) can be integrated into the e-commerce system.
Nida Verkkopalvelu is not responsible for the operation, downtime, or terms of the payment service providers.
The customer enters into payment service agreements directly with the payment service providers.

6. Backup
Regular backups of the e-commerce service are taken and stored for at least seven (7) days.
If a restore is required due to the customer's own error or actions, a fee according to the price list may apply.
The customer is responsible for backing up emails and other external systems themselves.

7. Exchange and Refund Rights
For sales through the e-commerce system, the customer (owner of the e-commerce store) is responsible for exchange and refund policies in accordance with consumer protection law.
Nida Verkkopalvelu is not a party to agreements between the customer and the end customer.

8. Limitation of Liability
Nida Verkkopalvelu is not responsible for:
- product delivery, returns, or complaints
- inventory management
- taxes or accounting
- the financial outcome of the customer's business
The customer is responsible for all business and legal liabilities related to the e-commerce operations.

9. Service Suspension
Nida Verkkopalvelu has the right to suspend or shut down the e-commerce store if:
- the service is used for illegal activities
- the terms are substantially violated
- payments are not made on time

10. Reference Use
Nida Verkkopalvelu has the right to use the customer's e-commerce store as a reference in marketing, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
